The Globalization of Power
“Classical” power has lost its effectiveness to a remarkable extent, when we observe the recent conflicts which have, most of the time, led to the defeat of the strongest: decolonization, the Vietnam war, the wars in Afghanistan, until to the military defeat of Vladimir Putin against Ukraine. Does power become powerless or does it require new forms of construction that would be more compatible with the contemporary parameters of globalization? Can one be effectively powerful in a world that increasingly seems to reject hegemonic forms?
